Is there a danger of being boxed in a certain category of roles? As a concierge, I don't see myself being able to aim for better-paying roles in this place. Does it take working elsewhere, or can I work my way up here?

There’s always some risk of feeling stuck, but you can often grow by gaining new skills, certifications, or taking on extra responsibilities. Moving to a higher-paying role might require either internal promotion paths or exploring opportunities elsewhere depending on your workplace.

Sometimes you can move up in a particular job category, but not necessarily at a particular company. Some companies just make it really difficult. For example, if you want to become a manager, but your manager doesn't have any plans of leaving anytime soon and the company isn't expanding. In that case, you might want to look elsewhere.

You may have an opportunity to grow you just have to see what options you have

It all depends on what you want the next move for your career to go. If you want to stay in your current role.. I think you should try to see if there is a high paying position in your company and if there isn’t I would look for another job.

I have observed that people on testing domain or frontend are getting better pay than other new tech domains like blockchain, cyber security, data sci etc(4-11yr exp) .
For less than 4 years experience new tech job gettig good pay but others getting very less.

In dev job Java, spring r etc getting better pay. Also some SAP consultant are also get paid high.
Is exp people in testing/frontend dev are less due to which they getting better pay than others with experience.
