It feels like it has been a long week already. Only one day of this week will be normal! Between 2-Hour Delays, 9/1 Flips, and Professional Developments, it is one of those weeks that feels totally upside down. Some of our students get so discombobulated when there are changes. How do you help your students manage the changes that trigger them and make a mess of their schedule and behaviors?

Even though my class sizes were literally doubled, but it wasn't as bad as when I absorbed from that same teacher last grading period. Actually had some laughs with the classes.

Our area was hit pretty hard by the fires and it has been tough on everyone. We have students and staff who have lost homes and others who are still displaced. It's difficult to give others grace when we are all just barely hanging on by a thread. Many emotions are raw and on edge. How much more can people possibly take?

Need advice - I've been talking to a Partner contact at a big-4 firm where I REALLY want to work. She sent my info to the managing partner in my city, but I haven't heard anything for about 3 weeks. Been playing it cool because I know these things can take time, BUT, I just got let go from my current firm. I have til 12/15 to find a new job.

Do I tell her my timeline is now a month, or is telling them I'm getting fired going to tank my chances of getting the job?
