How long do you think this M&A slowdown will last?

I’m in FDD… I know I signed up for this but there’s something about the anxiety that comes on a Friday knowing that we still didn’t get access to VDR .. and how that anxiety grows as you enter the long weekend knowing that access can happen at any minute (or not) and you have to tippy-toe on the idea of potentially cancelling on your memorial weekend plans. I know the unpredictability of our job but phew 😮‍💨

AT&T: HBO-MAX is probably top 3 stream platforms along with netflix and disney plus. Despite this AT&T trades at a super low multiple. Is this the next glow-up a la Disney this past month? I think so. They've already got an extensive library and have consistently over 20 years delivered the best shows on TV, period. I understand that the core AT&T business may seem like a "liability" to the valuation but I still think that their valuation doesn't make sense. What am I missing?

It’s been an interesting 24 hours. So, you know I got out of the VIX Puts at 26 with a small loss. I bought a few DIA July 15 calls at the low at a 309 strike .13 so I did better than I would. Trading the technicals now with DIA and C Puts.

Any good options?

So my spouse and I invest separately via different trading accounts. Individual accounts, not joint. Can I work around the wash sale rule with 2 accounts? Sell stock A from one account @ $20 and buy stock A from@second account @ $15? Planning to dump stocks in December last week to get some tax gains and buying on the second account in first week of January.

only buy VIX if you think the market plumbing systems are clogged.

Otherwise your sinuses will become increasingly VIX allocated over time.

Experts - I understand tha LEAPS help with liquidity amd magnify the returns but I am unclear what are the tax implications (Fed LTCG and state tax) when you are ITM and exercise LEAPS. Can someone shed some light on tax implications of the LEAPS? Thanks.
