It is important to make clear that battlefield experience makes you a man, I mean you can have 5 years of simulations and nothing prepares you for when a bullet hits the wall where you were 1 second before.

Well-said. Indeed, nothing can ever fully prepare you on how it's like in a real battle field.

You have a point. But let's not forget that joining the profession might have been too much already for other people. We don't really have to drag others down.

Yes, I agree. But let's not use this to feel superior. The best way is to share our experiences and inspire others.

We are indeed built differently, yes. I think that's one of our strengths. So, I'd say you're not wrong.

Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case. Trials are rare, and I just don’t think these guys have actually tried many cases. Cont. below…

I’ve been spamming this board with amp builds over the past several months; if it’s too monotonous please let me know. I have finally gotten the hang of batch producing guitar amp cabinets and I’m proud of how far my tolex game has come. Recent build that is being shipped to a customer today: 1x12” amp with blonde nubtex covering and an oxblood grille.

Due to obvious conditions my comp for the calendar year (salary+bonus) is back to 2017 levels although my overall sales are more than double and 1/3 less total comp than last year. It seems like comp opportunity is always decreasing during good times (I get it) but when it comes to adjusting during bad times, nothing was done. Is this normal for industry sales?
