Many movies romanticize the sacrifice of one soldier and leave them as a hero, but I have always thought that I hate that. Why would someone need to lose his life to be a hero? I believe the mere fact that we put our life at risk in service is enough to be a hero

Well, I think Hollywood likes to glamorize everything, and it is a known fact that when a person dies, suddenly everyone loved them for how good of a person they were. I obviously disagree with this, people should be valued while they're alive, not dead.

I have known so many good people who have died while serving out country, and it it so sad because even if people want to remember them as heroes, in the grand scheme of things they were just regular people working. Life can be so cruel sometimes.

Well, I guess it's like everything, right? Movies obviously have to bring the drama, and a soldier dying out in the field is one of the easiest ways to say, "see? this person was a hero because they gave their life"... more like it was taken from them.

I’m working for an agency where Art Directors are essentially managers of designers. Art Directors are promoted from Senior Designer, we have no Junior Art Directors.

This hasn’t been my experience, I’m used to Art Directors and Designers having separate career paths. However, I’m trying to keep an open mind. Is this org structure familiar to to anyone else? If so, has it been effective? Thanks in advance!
