I always feel this way around this time of year. I miss the days when my tax situation was simple and I could just do it online in 30 minutes. Now I need an expert and what feels like weeks to handle all of the various complicated tax considerations. I definitely learned the hard way that I need outside professional support with this kind of thing.

Taxes can get overwhelming once things aren’t straightforward anymore. It sounds like you’ve already figured out the smartest move, which is leaning on a professional, that way you save yourself the stress and make sure everything is handled correctly. Honestly, it’s a good investment in peace of mind.
Tax is not a big deal for me. Do you have some unique circumstances? I know the withholdings can be kind of confusing for your very first job. I do not believe recruiters are equipped to lead that conversation, and shouldn’t be expected to be. Too many factors are involved.
