It's clear that social skills improve with practice. I know this intellectually, but as someone who's naturally more analytical and introverted, casual conversation or small talk feels incredibly uncomfortable to me. It's like trying to speak a foreign language I'm not fluent in, and my brain wants to analyze everything instead of flowing with the conversation. What can I do to help overcome that awkwardness? I'd like to have better communication with my team.

I understand this more than you know. I actually found youtube videos on this topic to be helpful, but the most helpful tip is to just engage in conversation more frequently, despite how awkward it feels. I does get easier.
