My company had so many great ERGs. After the completion of acquisition late last year, I hear that we now have none. That was of many clues that I now work in a toxic workplace. That and the leadership announcement that return to office 5 days a week would be required from January but they welcome hybrid working on evenings and weekends.

What excites me most is how ERGs can influence culture and business outcomes. Whether it’s driving inclusion, shaping policy, or sparking innovation, they show that employee voices matter.
Every place I’ve worked has an ERG for every identity group except for white men. It’s discriminatory.
You don’t think
I haven’t heard it phrased that way, but in education they promote collaborative work.
My direct mgr (for social work/psychologist) was an organic mentor, teacher, advocate, consoler, innovator of ideas, wanted to see everyone do well. I had that for 26 yrs. He retired at the young age of 72 yrs. and as a result 1/2 of our dept left; 2 retired me included and 4 moved on to other districts/private practice therapy.
