My background is in Visual Merchandising, and I am currently working in Merchandising Space Planning at a corporate level. How do I transition my transferable skills into E-commerce Site Merchandising to be specific.

It's a completely different skill set so you'll either have to start from the bottom or do some training.

I’ve seen this happen - have you networked at all with your site merchandise team? You understand the Merch world very well, and that part is not always known on the site merch side. Being able to showcase that knowledge is invaluable. The skills gap may be around site planning, UX etc - but perhaps take a stretch project to learn that hands on and compliment it with a free certificate online.

I’m currently interviewing with a few top 10 firms and a couple top 100 firms for a mostly remote experienced associate/new senior role. Does anyone have any tips on virtual interviews and how to gauge the culture of the firm and if it really will be a good fit for you? I’m struggling to figure out that out because I used to gauge it on the feeling I got while in their office during interviews. Any suggestions would be helpful :)
