I think this is exactly the reason why Sony is not putting their exclusives on the service. They are making you pay $60-70 for the effort and quality. Whenever the math says that a game's expected revenue is equal that of the subscription they'll make it available but not before. So I think that will preserve the upper limit and allow indies and smaller studios to charge what they do, rather than leading consumers into a period of entitlement where they expect all games to be "free" with their subscription.
At least Nintendo is never going to stop charging full price, no matter what.

Agreed. The true gems of the Sony portfolio - God of War, Horizon, TLoU - they won’t be included as free; they’ll remain outside but periodically go on sale. I’m ok with that.
I am interested in seeing what happens to games that are developed with sky high budgets. The flip side though I really really like some indie games that I wouldn't have otherwise played without XGP
I wonder what kinds of deals you have to strike to get your game on game pass or extra. How much money comes in using that method compared to direct release.
