I've been consulting for 3 years but still feel like a total fake. I'm advising on stuff I just researched last week and talking to executives like I know what I'm doing. Every call makes me think they'll figure out I have no idea. Is it normal to feel impostor syndrome for this long?

Been in consulting for 6 years. Yes - I still have imposter syndrome. But once you stop giving a f about what others think about you, it gets easier.

They do know you have no idea, they are paying for the partner stamp and firm reputation, not your 3 years of experience.

Kind of the name of the game

We had a panel at work a while back with partners and various senior leadership members. Someone asked "when did you start feeling like you knew what you were doing" and this partner, with ~20 years experience said without hesitancy "never". It comes with the domain. We move from project to project, it's normal to feel the sense "we fake it till you make it" .

Hello all. My company just went through an acquisition and the company did some restructuring of job titles. When they did this we were all advised the company would be making sure our jobs pay aligned with the national average.
My issue with this is my job title went from a Technical Support Supervisor to a Customer Success Team Lead. I have voiced my concerns with management but have been advised job titles are semantics. In my eyes this is a demotion, and will affect how much my job is worth.

Hello, I’m a Physical Therapist (DPT) and am considering going back to school for my MBA. I’m hoping to pivot out of patient care and into a more corporate/leadership role. Is there anyone here with a similar background? Any insights as far as opportunities an MBA could afford for someone like myself? Thank you

how’s everyone feeling about this?

Quite miffed as I just got a small pay rise and now I think this plus the upcoming not rises in utilities and inflation will pretty much cancel it out.

Can anyone suggest what's the interview process for Amazon in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka or Andhra Pradesh for a Data Engineer role.

What technologies should I be familiar with in order to crack the interview. Is data structures and algorithms a must learn to crack a data engineer role?

I want to prepare for data engineer interviews, I'm currently well experienced in Python, SQL, Informatica and familiar with ADF and I have 1+ years of experience in the same role.

Shower thought:
Why did Toronto (or Canada?) change the exit signs from the classic red EXIT sign to the green running man? Wouldn’t it confuse more people especially elders in finding the exit?

Also isn’t it a waste of money for businesses to replace perfectly functional exit signs when renovating?

Evening! Dog owners who live in condo rentals downtown.. did you tell your landlord you had a dog? I’m in a rental with a lease that says no pets (i’m sure a common clause?) and i didn’t have any pets moving in. 6 months in, i got a puppy lol. I don’t want to invite potential conflict by updating my landlord, my lawyer partner says the no pets clause is void in toronto anyway - but I worry about a bad landlord reference if they find out i.e come for repairs.
