I got an offer at Nokia, and my new manager said that she wanted to put me in the higher salary bracket however the HR insisted that we lowered the range. That caused me to receive a much lower salary than expected. Should I renegotiate even when my manager said that she tried giving me more. Does HR really play that big of a role in this?

Looking for some advice as I am considering relocating to US. How difficult is for HR professionals to get a work visa? I think from what I read I qualify under eb3 (no master yet) or h1b. How do for do about looking for positions that sponsor your visa? I'm in the defense sector and have previously healthcare and financial services experience. Has anybody experience in giving up the LPR status after leaving the US for work and residency in another country/homecountry?
