16 weeks and so worried all of the stress I’m under is going to hurt the baby. Between work, my own scary (non-pregnancy) health stuff, the pandemic, my mom (who is a widow and lives alone, basically isolated by choice due to covid) is having health issues, and pressures to keep billable hours up, I’ve been having complete breakdowns. Today I spent almost the entire day crying and now have to make up the billable time this weekend. I really worry abt what effect this will have on the babe.

I'm working for a startup and 2 of the 3 founders just don't understand how things run, no active practising of any methodology, chopping and changing constantly. I like the work and I only work a 4 day week its a well paid role (£85k) and the freedom really does feel awesome. Recently they asked me to work a bank holiday, I really don't want to, but they are imposing a deadline which is hard to hit as they keep changing the work we need to do. There is a lot of miscommunication (lack of communication) in the company. Primarily coming from upper management. My line manager and head of marketing are quite transparent and quick to communicate with the team, but large business updates lack details and come in very minute… often leading to deleting social media posts & important updates.
My manager says this occurs at 99% of companies? Is he correct or am I right in thinking that that is not the case? I’m looking to leave anyway
