Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

How does my company treat us? Sell more, sell more. If we have a Christmas party, it comes out of my pocket. I used to use my 3rd quarter bonus, but bonuses have gone the way of 24 hour Walmarts.
Oh, to be clear, the company doesn't expect me to pay for the Christmas party. It's more like they expect us to not have one. IF we want a party, it's not coming out of company funds, and isn't allowed to be during business hours.
my company rented out a space at a nice restaurant in the city and had free food/open bar for dinner. better than a pizza party for sure.

Wow! That sounds exciting. I wish my company did the same thing for us.
Like dirt 😂. We work so hard this time of year and all the company does is host a cheap holiday party that no one wants to go to. No bonuses or incentives for me. I'm sure management gets them though 🙃.

Management for sure get their bonuses. It is us who work the most and get nothing in return. It is sad when companies are not appreciative for what we do for them.
A company merged with another company I was working at. All of the Christmas parties and rewards went away. I left shortly after to be the caregiver for my mom.
Starting your own business and assuming responsibility for payroll, insurance, rent, lawyers, employees, etc. would guarantee you have any kind of Christmas party/bonus that you like.
My company doesn't really care about holiday celebrations and I don't really mind because I'm not super social. Having some snacks in the break room is more than enough for me, personally.

You are right. Sometimes it is the perception too. When I worked at a retail store, we had the same thing and I was fine with that. I guess my expectation grew with time.
We get nothing at Christmas :(

That is sad and you are not alone. We have been getting nothing since I have joined this new company too.

Totally get that! Some offices really go all out for the holidays, while others keep it low-key. At my workplace, it’s usually just a small lunch too, nothing fancy. Makes you appreciate the fun perks elsewhere!

I am used to low-key celebrations now tbh and I have made my peace with it now. 😊
I watch corporate have elaborate gigs while I have to pay for goodies for my team if I want anything festive.
