Yes, take the job that you have an offer for and if you get the other one, quit the one you previously accepted. Candidates fall through often, that’s why the job market is so frustrating for job seekers. Recruiters intentionally string people along so they can be their #2…and in fact - the job that is now “delayed” is probably just them keeping you engaged as their second choice.
Smart to try and plan, but hard to keep it all on a timeline when it’s out of your control. Continue and get an offer, take what’s best for you, even if it’s rejecting something you already accepted. I hear people getting ghosted after getting an offer. Do what’s good for you.
I would continue going through the interview process if that is a job you are interested in. If you take the first offer, you can always rescind it if you are offered the second role. At the end of the day, you have to do what is best for you.
I'm 56,and its hard to find a position ,I feel they do do that hold ,rolling 1 candidate they are hired while the other one dangles because the one hiring mentioned they will be calling you soon for a second interview..But all the while they have no intentions of hiring..where's the communication
