I've seen a couple of quite tenured and successful colleagues (associate partner level) become Solution Architects at Databricks recently.

Does anyone have any insights on what's driving this? The new funding rounds or the perspective of an IPO, maybe?

I got approached for this at Senior Consultant level but turned it down because it sounded too narrow in terms of technology. The success could be due to the fact that Databricks is an important platform piece on the big hyper scalers. Workloads on the cloud, especially big data workloads, will most probably continue to increase so it makes sense that this drives the value of Databricks.

In terms of IPO perspective I’m clueless but my assessment is that it’s a vertical champion.

Haha I know who you are talking about … will do a move to SA too. I’m jr princ level though and my comp gets a 100k boost min and I’ll work less and have my tech stamp back. It’s annoying to have to explain people that I actually know tech, just because I’ve been mck / Qb for 2 years lol. Equally people looking to hire pure generalists when I explain them how ai enables so much biz op they don’t underhand

The thing with the guy you are referring to is, that he is super technical and I’m sure he’s fed up the the tech bs mck culture and no real path for really technical people. I’m sure databricks matched his comp.

Good luck MCK2 - also happy to read that the grass ain’t greener at QB 😄 I feel your pain regarding explaining that you are technical. While my salary at big blue sucked I had the tech stamp and I’m landed a SA for AI at a hyperscaler now. Happy to connect as well!

In the 6 years of our married life me and my husband have always had differences.
One thing we stuck to was not to care about expenses like we saved together, spent together...my salary was his and vice versa...
I have differences with his side of the family...but recently I got to know that he has been buying crypto for his brother without my knowledge.
Mind it that his brother is very well off but for some reason he can't buy crypto himself since he is in India.
Knowing my husband...contd...

Scenario for my tech tran folks: a collaboration agreement includes a termination clause providing that either party may terminate the agreement if the other party breaches a "material" term of the agreement + not cured w/in 30 days. The term "material" is not defined therein. The agreement includes mutual warranties.

If a party breaches any warranty in the agreement, is the the other party automatically entitled to terminate the agreement for breach of a material term?
