I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?
Need like for completing profile. Thanks.

Worked with quite a bit of big four in MM. Seems like they are compensated well. It feels like they just do the same amount of work bc the data is so messy
They also have such a better acumen compared to people growing up in MM which is helpful.
The comp change during the switch isn't that big of a deal, most likely its an increase or flat. You're giving up the long term comp of big 4 though and that's material, but it could be because either a) you weren't going to get to the next level at your big 4 firm, or b) you didn't want to live the big 4 grind anymore but are comfortable with the reduced long term comp. Effectively getting $3-500k comp in the near and long term is a solid living though significantly less than big partner comp
They leave for better pay for the most part, as surprising as that may sound
