I always use a professional; they know how to apply for all of the deductions, and it has saved me thousands of dollars in taxes over the years. I used to do my own taxes when I was a straight W-2 employee but freelancing is really complicated!

I’m finding that out. The extra checks were great throughout the year. I tried being proactive about taxes. I hope I don’t end up paying more back🙄
Go to a professional. They know all the loopholes and are so worth the money. I have 3-4 side hustles. Doing my own taxes for them would be a complete nightmare.

I assume a bit more professional than H&R Block to really get into all the loopholes. I hope I kept good enough records.

If you’re juggling a few side hustles, I’d use a professional at least once. Not because you can’t DIY, but because a good CPA will set you up right for estimated quarterly payments, clean bookkeeping categories, and avoiding dumb mistakes. After one year, DIY gets way easier.

Yeah, I’m looking forward to this like a dentist appointment. Fix all the damage and hopefully I will be better off in the long run. But I hope my overthinking will result with me being overprotective.
I used a professional as well . Hopefully you opened an LLC although I don’t know it’s absolutely but helped me to keep expenses separate for write offs.
everything is a write-off you don't have to pay taxes you just think you do.
