I’ve worked with people who made complicated problems feel manageable just by staying calm. Have you ever had a coworker who steadied the whole team?

I had an incredible manager who was just like this! I don't know why fast food management jobs attract the worst of the worst, but most of them treat everything like a life or death situation. Not my Dale! She was unshakeable and refused to pass the stress from corporate pressure onto us.

That’s amazing! What a person to work with

I am that coworker even though I don't always want to be. My boss always tells me I am so good in a crisis. It isn't that I am "good" in a crisis, I just don't freak out and am able to think logically.

That’s a nice comment from them at least!

How do you deal with parental guilt when you have to miss things? When my child was a baby it wasn't as big of a deal as long as I was around for the big stuff and was pulling my weight parent wise. Now that they're 4+ everything is big stuff, and every time I can't be there it really affects them. I know being successful in my career will set them up for the future, but it feels like I'm letting them down right now.
