Accenture does work out taxes on the back end when you report location - for example I lived in TX but traveled to LA, LA was on my W2
Unfortunately for your situation specifically I think CA taxes all of your income if you’re a resident, even if you earned some of it in another state
Unless this has recently changed in CA (which wouldn’t surprise me), you’re only taxed in the states you’re working in. So for the days you work in Texas, you don’t pay state income tax.
There are some states that regularly attempt to double-tax you (e.g., Illinois), where you’ll be sent a bill from them asking for more taxes for the time you spent out of state, but they back down with a letter from our multistate tax team.
