Got an offer for Electronic Arts (EA) Manager for North America (Canada) remote for 100k base CAD, 15 percent bonus and around low 40ks RSU (assuming it's USD). How much higher can the base be in Canada for EA for a Manager role? Base seems low even at 110 CAD. It's a corporate role so not anything technical or product related. Most or all the more senior managers are in the USA. Electronic Arts (EA)

Peloton is letting everyone try the app for free for 90 days- give it a go! I’m obsessed with my bike and the app both!
I ate four donuts today. Then, a bunch of folks had a virtual happy hour (by emailing photos of what we were drinking) for a colleague who is “leaving” for another firm. Of course one person posted their green smoothie and I thought of all the lies I told myself about how healthy I was going to eat now that I had time to prep. I immediately made myself a green smoothie and chugged it.
I have a feeling I’m going to bill 3 hours a day for the foreseeable future despite sitting in front of my laptop and snacking for 10 hours.
Same.
If only I could bill a 0.1 for every chocolate covered almond I’ve eaten..
This guy gets it ^
I’m billing 2.5 hours a day and eating all my quarantine food until I become Fat Thor from Endgame
This is my favorite comment ever.
I cannot stop eating all my food
I’m fattening myself up before Corona takes me to the slaughterhouse
I can’t stop drinking all of my wine because it’s right there staring at me and I don’t have to leave for work
I’m at least waiting until after I’m done working, but it’s like coffee & tea all day, wine all night with bad TV
So I have plenty of work, but I'm so distracted by the situation. I keep watching the governor's update daily and checking the Court announcements. I am normally very productive at home too but the combo of the situation, and of course snacks, is too much.
I’m at 4.5 for today and I postmates-ed donuts.
I’ve had 2 separate co-workers ask if this post was me! Haha love it!
My billables are increasing....8-10 hour days minimum. Too busy working to remember to eat snacks, luckily my fiancé has been feeding me lunch the last couple days. I think in part the increase is because everything just takes longer on a tiny laptop. I don’t have a good home office setup. Considering ordering a few things though if it looks like we’re gonna be in this awhile...
Agree, spend the time/money to get yourself some monitors. I’m billing just as productively as I do in the office.
Maybe ask a partner if there’s any additional work you can do. I’m sure they would appreciate the initiative and then they won’t be surprised when they see that your hours are lower this month if they don’t have anything to give you.
If you’re in litigation, start working on case reports, deposition summaries, or document review that you may otherwise put off.
For the weight gain, start using MyFitnessPal to track your calories and macros.
This all makes too much sense...does not compute.
I am strictly rationing my snacks but still concerned about weight gain since I’m barely moving and am probably burning half the amount of calories I usually do. Help!! I am also working on being more disciplined and actually doing at-home online workouts.
My weight gain is inversely proportionate to my billable hours. Although today I managed to bill 7 hours. I'm started to find my groove. And now that I think about it, I ate much less than previous quarantine days. Maybe I'm getting used to it.
This is me
Yesterday was my last day in the office for the foreseeable future and I billed 5.8 hours, today it was over 9. I’m usually more productive at home because there are less distractions and I’m loving it. I don’t have a kid stuck at home with me so that probably helps.
Employment advising has ramped things up so I haven’t even been able to dig into my Kung Flu snacks, but we’ll see how long it lasts.
I am having to write myself an hour by hour schedule, including a wake up and sleep time. My body is just in “personal time” mode since my personal space and professional space have combined.
Personal time mode rules all.
eating nothing but carbs mostly pasta. I had been working out 3-4 times per week and now nothing. gonna gain it all back.
I’m so glad it’s not just me! I thought I was just a failure
