Clawback clause in current contract: been in role for over 2 yrs, it was an internal move that required relocation. Relocation was approved shortly after (over 2 yrs ago) but covid meant the actual move and start of my contract with new subsidiary was delayed, I was paid by the previous subsidiary meanwhile. I got small relocation package. Would internal move be subject to a buy-out/clawback clause if I leave now and if yes, is it time in role or time under new contract? Any experience? Thanks!

I just got a job offer for an Entry Level Software Engineer at Boeing in Saint Louis. The salary is $82,000 with an $8,000 sign on bonus. I was hoping for an offer closer to 90k base and I don’t care too much for a sign on bonus. However, this is a lot more than what I’m making now, and would be my first SWE job. Should I counter? How does roles at Big 5 banks work? Just saw a director who was 4 years out of a undergrad.

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

How do associates and non-named partners obtain (plaintiff) personal injury cases? Do you advertise yourself, create a brand, all word of mouth through your network and family and friends, or something else? I get a great 40% of fees I bring in, but so far have only been able to bring in one minor MVA case (guy I went to high school with). I have been practicing for 1.5 years for reference. Would love to know what other Plaintiffs attorney thoughts are regarding Mercury. I practice in CA, and it’s generally known that Mercury is terrible in terms of settling. Liability not at issue? Meds reasonable? Fanf**kingtastic, let’s not settle and spend money and time on mediation. Just wondering, do PI attorneys from other states have similar thoughts vis a vis Mercury? Or is Mercury just flipping the bird to all Californians to spite the 20+ million fine CA has imposed?

How come the big law bowl has 20k participants, and the entire plaintiff bar bowl less than 200? Plaintiff lawyers too cool for fishbowl? should I be looking elsewhere to find them?

When you send opposing counsel interrogatories and requests to produce, do you sign them or just include the typed signature Atty information at the bottom. I keep seeing some signed, some not signed. What is correct?
