I just saw a stat on SHRM that best in class orgs have $1,100 per employee budget for HR (including all HR FTE’s, systems, etc) this seems unreal. Is anyone willing to share how they develop their HR budget? And what’s included?

Any suggestions on how to continue helping a new employee in our dept when they do not take notes? I am always willing to help, but it is becoming frustrating to constantly go over the same thing. I have expressed that because our dept does so many things that it is good to take notes over the things we are going over. When our MGR was out of town I spent a large amount of time being patient and helping her all throughout the day. It is now taking time from the task that I need to work on.

I am looking for validation here. Is my workload too much? Working for a healthcare organization, where most of my openings are RNs, CNAs, retail and Corporate. I am sole recruiter for 60 vacancies, in charge from req to offer. Also managing all employee merit increases, status changes, promotions, position changes etc for 500 employees, day to day HR inquiries, Workers Comp, and performance review management. (I used to be just “Recruitment” but as people leave, they just divvy out their job).

With the unknowns throughout the pandemic, I am dealing with people at work all with differing opinions on the workplace who all feel their opinions are equally valid. Some days I feel like my title should be changed to VP of Cat Herding. I can’t even get a Does anyone else feel that way? What’s more, as complicated and difficult as the past 12 months have been, I think the next few months are going to get increasingly complicated. I’d love to hear how others are handling the stress.

I’m interested in getting a certificate in HR rather than going the SHRM or HRCI route. Do you believe that Certificates in HR are recognized just the same way as HR certifications?

POV: 2 and s half months into a new job: position internal sales support. Request of SM to find all potential customers in 2 main areas of sales and send them the information of companies name as well as contact name and sort the info from most important company to least, all from scratch.
The SM knows I am new to the industry and have no previous experience in it.
Is this something normal to ask to have done? Is it normal to give a few days to hand in the requested information?

Hello all, so I currently am 24M working at tmobile. I just found out my store is closing at the end of this month. They're offering to transfer me but simply put I know for a fact I won't see as much traffic coming into the store so less potential for sales. I'm looking to find a good job to transition too.
