^This. As an experienced hire you’ll face a much tougher job trying to make inroads. But good luck I guess.
This is good advice and very true! I have an offer from a Deal Advisory & Strategy group at a Big 4. Just figured I would try my luck!! But it's not the end of the world, as you mentioned! Deff great experience to be earned at many places!
You still can make it. I also studied part-time MBA (still do not like this word since we had the same workload on top of full-time jobs and families) and pivoted to BCG as experienced hire after graduating (no campus recruiting). It is possible, good luck!
Thank you so much, this means a lot!! Thanks for showing it's possible!!
Hiring for on campus kick-offs late summer / early fall, in many cases it’s harder to join as an experience hire in this window because the recruiters are slammed with campus hiring.
Of course! That makes sense, and is in line with what I've heard!

Curious why you didn’t recruit through Darden? Becomes quite a lot harder to recruit outside of school channels
Great question! I was actually in their first PT MBA program. The opportunity for internships just wasn't there for us. Since we graduated they just created a path to do an internship in the program. I wish it was the same for us. In retrospect, I probably should have quit my job and gone full time. Figured the opportunity cost of losing 2 years of employment was too much. But I guess time will tell!
