Depends if you initiated the transfer or the firm required you to transfer. If firm initiated, usually they will equalise so if it’s more or less tax abroad, you still pay the home taxes even if your salary is paid out of the temp office. If you initiated it, likely you will be paid in home office but you are liable for any double taxation liabilities for yourself, and sometimes the firm’s too.
Get it clarified before you go to avoid nasty surprises. And negotiate a bit if you are top talent. And if you are BCG BST, good luck

All salaries are the same in the states. You’ll always be taxed based where you physically work
Ah sorry, I meant if the transfer was say from London to New York!
