US peeps, what are you doing for thanksgiving?

When there are no posted jobs, is it smarter to cold email HR or director levels? Or avoid cold emails altogether and keep waiting for jobs to post up 😭

I want to put together a XD file with a whole bunch of helpful web and app components for other designers to just drag and drop. 1. Is this a waste of time due to the market being saturated? 2. Where do I sell it? 3. Is there anything I need to know first?

Howdy…I need a sanity check! As part of my previous role, I reported security non-compliance and gross security misrepresentations. For my valiant efforts I was laid off (despite being a protected whistleblower) and my reports were buried. Everything I did was in line with my responsibilities. I was extremely concerned that systems housing personal credit data on all US consumers were not adequately protected. I essentially risked my job to protect data and I’m not sure if it mattered.

I am a UX designer who has completed a Google certification program along with a resume and professional portfolio. However, I’ve struggled to find a job (remote). Any advice or resources I could use? Or are there any employers currently hiring and are interested? I’d be happy to hear from you.

I had cleared all the rounds in S&P and had salary discussion 1.5 month back. The HR is always saying the management is on leave and will soon get the approval and release offer. Today she shas asked for one more week to release the offer. Should I wait for it or move on. Are they waiting for some other candidate to join before rejecting me at last moment. Only 10 days of my LWD are left.

Had two rounds of interviews for an in house role and really like the company/job. I followed up Friday regarding next steps and was told they are still interviewing and should be wrapping up soon. Advice on how to stay calm? I want the position and need to know if there’s a way to speed up the process.

This question may not be related. However I wanted to know from personal and family point of view how it is like to relocate from India and live abroad .
Let's say Family consists of husband , wife and a kid . I understand we will get good facilities, education, cleanliness , good air etc , however I wanted to check whether people gel up easily in the new environment? Over the last few months my job work load has increased to helping more teams and I have been brought on to be a major voice on a product transition (I am one of three non managers helping make the decision and have more responsibility on the project then half the managers. The company is global (30+ teams)) and I can see that it will increase over the next months. The company I work for is known for not promoting internally easy.
