How long were you at the firm before you left? This isn’t meant to be mean because I truly feel bad for you and hope you get this sorted out somehow, but at your next gig, would encourage you to confirm all your accounts are properly set up within a month of starting the job and log in occasionally to check everything is in order. I log in to my HSA at least once a month to confirm contributions, adjust investments, process reimbursements, etc. — just regular account management and maintenance. Gotta take ownership over your accounts bc nobody at the firm cares as much about, or is as invested in, your finances as you.
Thank you. I’ll update here!
Thank you everyone!! Really appreciate everyone’s feedback. The HR is working on this. Apparently this was an error on the third party end… they missed my HSA but they set up my Limited Purpose FSA properly. They’re working to solve their contribution part. I guess I will try to figure out how I can contribute retroactively.

These plans are typically managed by third party administrators and they can be subject to audits for compliance purposes. I would be surprised if this was missed and if it was, you should be able to get it set up and funded. You will not be able to retroactively contribute your money though because you've already been paid. The purpose is to put pre tax dollars into it.
it’s not matching. It’s them encouraging us to choose HDHP. So they said they would contribute certain amount once I elected that option
On your pay stub, what does it show as detail for the pre-tax money deducted? In my experience in one year you can only be contributing to an HSA or an FSA, not both
Limited FSA is for dental and vision only btw
Probably not

Are you sure it was a limited purpose fsa?
Yes. I’m very sure. I’ve exhausted it before I left the job.
