Anyone work in any of the MBB and do security work? I am shifting over and would like some insight. Thanks!
Some of these posts are ridiculous. They’re like just exited consulting to FAANG/Niche Startup with $150k base and $400k TC with 6 months of experience, you can do it too! Then they ghost or explain that they are a former SWE 😬 coming from MBB. Going to some super Niche role that people with crazy backgrounds are recruited for. Congrats, but not everyone has that background
I’m in the middle of nowhere; shit is sometimes so depressing. Case in point: my hotel neighbor’s headboard is banging vigorously and rhythmically against my wall. And there is no where else to go
Company gave us “the option to work from home”. So naturally I’ll feel guilty if I actually work from home.
New to the consultancy world! Apologise if this question has been asked many times. My sister is getting married in India in December and wanting to attend the wedding. But my visa appointment is in February. Even after I use all my leaves, I still need atleast 45 days (1.5 months) of unpaid leave. As per EY rules, I can't work outside USA. Did anyone go against the company's rules and figure out a way to work from India? Just thinking of all possible ways to make this possible! Thanks peeps :)
What are people planning for their elderly parents now that we know that nursing homes are ground zero for Covid cases?
What is a fair comp for SM1 in Tech(AIM)? I have been a “lifer” at Deloitte and although I always get 1 or 2, live in a Tier 1 city, but I know I am underpaid. What are your thoughts on the base comp?
MBA vs MBB Non-target school background, currently Deloitte Strategy. Will I learn more going to McKinsey, Bain, BCG? Or in an MBA from a top school. Will keep this specialism agnostic. If MBB, it would be as a generalist.
Can the firm directly file for I️-140 before H1B expires before the first extension? Meaning I will complete my first 3 years on H1B this fall- would they be able to start the GC process instead?
Would you stay at a place that you hate but that has a project that you've always wanted to work on or do you go to a startup agency that is offering you a higher position and better pay?
anyone looking for senior/acd writers? full-time or freelance? just got laid off for the first time in my career, so i’m available!
I’m a relatively new college hire and recently brushed up my LinkedIn. I started having several headhunters reaching out about different opportunities. It seems like they usually don’t name the actual firm they’re working for or much other relevant detail. I guess it’s because the headhunters are an independent staffing firm? Anyways, any recommendations on how seriously I should take these type of messages or whether to get on the phone with them just to check it out? Could be MBB I guess lol
