I'd love to create a sticky post here where we can share what technology tools we use to do our job better as Adhd consultants.
I've posted a tool - please consider using a similar format so it's consistent and easy to follow.

This is a transcription app that I use to transcribe meetings. It's helpful because I can go back and listen to what was said, the context around it and not be embarrassed that I spaced out and lost an important detail or action item.

This a summary writing tool. When I need to consume large amounts of information I copy paste content into this and read the summary. It's good to get a broad understanding of things not as helpful if you need to deep dive

A plug in to detect spelling and grammar errors that can be missed by normal spell check.

I find myself writing and re-writing emails and still end up with grammatical errors. This is helpful.

Quick alarm for Android (sure there are others)
App to set recurring alarms. I'm trying it out to combat time blindness.

Need some advice r.e. expensing. Just moved from agency to sales in tech. We are expected to front our own money for client dinners meetings travel etc. I realize this isn’t abnormal. I was irresponsible in my early 20s and have been working to repair credit. I don’t have a credit card with more than a $500 limit. How do I approach this/ being approved for company card with my boss? I’m so embarrassed. Please no shame and sorry this isn’t a salary question!

Hello everyone. I’m graduating as an Econ major this summer, and have a really hard time finding a job. I have 2 years full time experience in financial services industry, efficiency in Python, SQL, STATA and MS Office. If anyone can give me an advice what to do to find a job I would really appreciate it!

I just learned that a white, male colleague (same level) with same number of experiences is getting paid 35k more in base. What should I do? I am a BIPOC woman and work a lot harder than he does. V disappointed

Like consulting is there a Desi Finance PE Hedge fund group. Thank you

Do any of you have experience with pushy coworkers? The kind who won't let you do anything without them "helping" even after you say "I've got this"? I can handle stocking the shelves by myself. So frustrating

Supposedly we are in a recession or were about to join a recession(not going to disagree) is there a point where the so-called recession is priced in? Would love to hear your thoughts and views Outside stock market on recession

How much more to trust before calling it off? Recently married (arranged); and found only after marriage that he drinks beyond limits; twice has happened that he did not get home until 6 in the morning; when we met he said he smoked occasionally but have found that to be more than occasional. Lied twice about his whereabouts & habits. He is good person at heart but these habits disturb me. I have lost the emotional connection and am perennially upset. Am I overreacting?

Additional Posts in ADHD Consultants

Met a psychiatrist for the first time about my adhd and he ended up prescribing Zoloft and Xanax for now, thoughts on him prescribing so quickly ? I don’t want to take drugs just to take them

Interesting bowl.

I've found ways to empower myself and make this more of a tool than liability - on most days.

Besides tech and wellness, what's one thing you do that helps?

What roles have you found best suited to your skills? I was diagnosed recently and worry that I might never develop the concise communication needed for the strategist to executive career path. Would appreciate this group’s thoughts on adjacent areas to explore

What do you want to know? I'm interviewing a fellow ADHDer about overcoming struggles in the workplace. We're talking about how to be successful with ADHD at work. What should we discuss?

Embarrassing ADHD moments? I'll start

1. Drove home 2 hours tonight only to realize 2 hours later that I forgot my laptop bag

2. Went out of town and left meat out the freezer. Called an uber driver to use my padlock to get into my place and put it back

3. Driven off with the gas pump in my car. Twice

4. Walked in, paid for gas, walked out, got in my car and drove off

5. Forgot gyro meat in my air fryer for 2 weeks.

Sleeping aids plus stimulants: does anyone feel like when they take some sleeping aids it causes the stimulants to work not as well for first couple hours in morning?

GMAT. Those with ADHD. I feel I can study better on meds, but I perform better when I’m off then during the exam. I’m stuck in a catch-22 of if I should: 1) use stims throughout 2) wean off stims a few days before exam. Anyone else with similar experiences?

All I want is to aggressively pay off debt, earn a bit higher paycheck, be more balanced and consistent and reliable, improve my health and take better care of myself, and not almost exclusively dread my job. And some time to socialize. These all seems fairly simple… but i am still struggling to accomplish this. It’s downright nerve wracking and frustrating.

What things did you find helpful to help reduce effects from ADD/ADHD?

I recently switched to Strattera (had been on Adderall for 6 years) to see if it’d help my sleep issues. Been taking for 6 weeks total, almost 4 at the current dose. My focus isn’t too bad, but I’ve been feeling really… blah… and unwell later in the day and not as motivated overall. Also been having more obsessive impulses, though my anxiety seems to be better. Anyone else have this experience? Did it change over time?

What has everyone's experience with therapy been like? I feel like the therapy I go is nothing like it's portrayed in popular media.

I often just feel like I'm talking to a wall. I guess I was hoping that my therapist would engage me a bit more and try to offer potential solutions or activities that I could do to improve my RSD/anxiety/ADHD symptoms.

Anyone just get random anxiety for no reason and can't shake it? 😔 What do you do?

Stimulants and Viagra. Can you take them at same time?

Seriously wanna divorce my wife who’s not necessarily a bad person but I feel angry about her all the time. I always have to fight with her over the small things. I feel she’s playing a power game and trying to take control whenever she gets the chance.

The only moment she steps back and be the person I want is when I get really angry and she can sense it. Why do I have to do this every time to get peace?

No kids, but even I am not afraid to divorce, I don’t feel it’s worth it!

How did you get your SO to better understand ADHD? We’re getting married and he’s very patient and understands with me. Just wondering if there is a resource to help him understand that this is an executive function disorder and my brain is wired differently.

Any Deloitte fishes out there that have analyzed the health benefit options for Vyvanse coverage? Both me and my daughter take Vyvanse and I have been burned by plan coverage/prescription benefits in the past. I think the PPO plans actually end up cheaper, all other variables removed.

I have been diagnosed with ADHD. I want to start medication but both me and my wife are worried about any potential side effects and most importantly developing dependency on the drug.
I have read many comments in this bowl about Addrell, Concerta and other medications. Can you guys please give me honest advise me with your experience on taking the medication?

1. Is there a risk of developing dependency?
2. Do you shut down when you are not taking the medication?

Anybody had crazy thoughts/was very irritable on days you don’t take adderall? I take IR and wondering if XR would help or another type of medication?

Anyone here thought of or thinking of starting their own consulting practice?

Most entrepreneurs have ADD btw…

Anybody used Deloittte's Integrated Mental Health Services? If yes, did it help?
