Just received an offer, but not sure what to do as a woman in a male-dominated field. I posted my salary range early in the process, and their offer came in at the bottom. I want to counter but a friend in the same situation warned me that companies sometimes withdraw offers if women negotiate "too hard." Would you still counter? I really need this job but I also can't keep accepting lowball offers.

IBM offered me 06B band and 14.5 LPA with 2 lac joining bonus. Recently I'm negotiating with them for at least 22 LPA. Haven't heard from them it's been quite a time now, will they consider my ask or I'm I asking too much.

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position.
