What do you think is the typical pay for a design manager? Does comp stop increasing for this role after a certain number of years?

I’m a first year associate (almost second year). I work at a national firm and I’m not a litigator. When I started with the firm, I was told I could work out of any office. Long story short, I regret choosing the office that I chose. I’d like to transfer to another office - is that a difficult ask? I’m licensed in the state I’d like to transfer to. How do real estate lenders take cash flow into consideration? For example, typically I would probably only be approved for a $500k loan ($125k comp and $100k for down payment), but if I’m buying a multi-family home and planning to live in a unit and rent the others, will lenders approve a bigger loan?
