I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

In my innocent belief, no company wants to lay off large numbers of workers at once for my company, that is bad in every sense and in theory it is only good for "the company's finances", therefore if they decide to lay off many people they are not open to hiring plus. You shouldn't get your hopes up.
Thanks, that makes sense
Unfortunately, given the news of layoffs at Microsoft last week, it's likely that the hiring process for your role has been put on hold. It's difficult to say exactly how this will impact hiring in marketing specifically, but it's likely that there will be fewer positions available now.
I'm sorry to hear that Microsoft has put the hiring process on hold. I'm not sure how the layoffs have impacted the marketing org, but it's likely that there are fewer opportunities available now. I would recommend exploring other options.
Hold out hope! It's likely that the layoffs impacted different teams and divisions differently, so there's still a good chance that your role is still needed. Microsoft is a big company and there are always new positions opening up. Keep in touch with your recruiter and be patient - the hiring process can take a while. Good luck!
Thank you! 🤞
There is a freezing hire at msft and many other companies thanks to the jerk off in office lol, I heard they are hiring 0 people the rest of 2022 and start of 2023. Sorry to say. But they might hyu mid 2023. Stay hopeful.
Yikes. You do realize we were headed toward a recession in the fall of 2019 due to the tariff war, and the only reason why it has been prolonged as it has been is because of the government's stimulus response during the pandemic, right? You can have your political beliefs, but also, embrace a growth mindset by expanding your news sources. It may help with improving your critical thinking skills.
