Last year, we did not have ESL paraprofessional. It looks like they will be hiring one this year. I hope this will make it easier for our ESL students to have some more engagement in the classroom. Do you have anyone to assist or use anything to help your ESL students at your school?

We don't, and I've been trying to advocate for an ESL specialist for years!! We are a small school in a small district and they just do not prioritize the right things in my opinion. I think they almost just want any ESL students to be thrown into the mayhem because they think it will help them learn quicker, but I feel like it's cruel and I wish that we could get more resources to help these students

Most of the time, our ESL students get lost in the shuffle. I went to a workshop this singer that really opened my eyes to how frustrating not understanding the language can be. The teacher taught a five minute lesson in Spanish. I was miserable because I couldn't understand anything. She reminded us that ESL students experience 40-50 minutes of this, 9 times a day-every day!

I just think it is sad. Schools "can't afford" to hire ESL staff but can spend thousands of dollars on frivolous or unnecessary things.

I’m highly interested in taking the PHR, and I’m wondering if I would qualify for the 4 year HR professional job requirement to be eligible to test for the certificate. I applied to the EY UK Elevate program Audit Senior. My application was rejected and immediately I got another email, confirming my application for Audit Senior - UK wide program.
I logged into my portal and saw that for the Audit Senior - UK wide program it was written "Forwarded as Applicant You have been added as an applicant to this requisition."
Has this ever happened with anyone? Is it a good sign?
