I recently lost my job after 11 months with my last organization because of system glitches that didn't capture my work during an approved medical WFH, resulting in my role being closed and caused performance issues. It's been tough, especially being the only earning member at home, but I'm choosing to move forward with hope.

What’s the difference between PwC consulting and Strategy& (or EY/EY-P) in terms of both work and compensation? Some places I see them split and others they’re lumped together, and I’m confused what’s the functional difference.

Who was around in 2008/2009 at big 4? Specifically in advisory? How were those practices affected during the layoffs? Any insight to ease some of the worry/unknown would be greatly appreciated.

For those that left Big 4 after 1 year for a smaller public accounting firm, do you regret your decision or you’re glad that you left?

Which is a better Big 4 to join for Business consulting risk- EY or KPMG?

My friend has following offers from three companies after MBA (two offcampus and one from campus)

1. Finance Effectiveness/ EPM role at one of the Big 4
2. Deal Advisory role at one of the Big 4
3. Organization strategy role from one of the top consulting companies (not Big 4)

Which role offers the best exit options? All the offers from US support teams of the companies.
OS role offers better than the other two (only slightly), but I am interested in a good profile

Anyone hiring those who have been out of work for a year? I took time off to tend to personal matters, but I am now looking to get back into the workforce again. My previous experience includes time at B4 audit up to senior level and then transitioned to manager in industry. Senior/manager roles are preferred.

I don’t mind audit. However, I’d prefer it not to be at a B4, as I am looking for some semblance of a work life balance.
