Time to buy the dip?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I have the Onkyo TX-NR686 and love it. I never thought I'd spend that much on something like that, but only delved into being an audio nerd in the past couple years. Also got it at a great deal at the time.
I have it set up in our home theater as 5.2.2 channel. Front, Rear, Ceiling (Dolby Atmos) and two subs. Receiver has not given me one issue. Sounds great through my entry level Polk speakers.
I think the NR696 is what's current out in shops now. That likely does as good a job or better. Could be worth finding a used NR686 or even NR676 if you're looking to save
Edit: Didn't see the Alexa part of your post until now. TX696 should have Alexa features now but I don't think my 686 does, just Google Assistant/Chromecast.
