Formal Dx: ASPD, with great therapists and meds I'm usually pretty stable. I try to have something "fun" on the horizon to focus on so I can stay positive. The pandemic washed a lot of that away for many of us. Had a trip planned..postponed. then another. Was supposed to get my new car today but weather has it delayed. My broken brain has me in a spiral, trying to convince me I don't deserve the stuff. Stay strong everyone, we'll get through it together.

Video game writing has a lot of appeal but I don't know the best way to build a portfolio. Are writing samples enough, or do I need to connect with a dev and work on a project?

For the last four weeks or so of WFH I’ve been making it to my desk around 7:30/8am and working basically without a break—lunch at desk- but cannot maintain momentum past like 6:30/7:30pm. Most of the day is billable work, but I cannot bring myself to finish outstanding assignments after 8pm, but then feel so guilty when I’m not working past that time. Am I burnout or fucked up? (Also I hate this gig & am not in it for the long haul, just hate not turning things quickly)

I received an offer from Xoriant in March 2022. However it has been more than 6 months since my graduation and I am yet to receive my joining date. I have reached out to the HR’s multiple times, visited their offices in Pune, followed up with HRs on LinkedIn but no one is responding to my calls, messages or emails. I rejected all the other offers in anticipation of joining Xoriant. Is there anyone here who works at Xoriant or knows someone at Xoriant can help me please? 🙏🏻

Just started working in-house within the last couple of months. First real attorney gig after doing compliance. The GC was terminated and I had to fill in the role as GC (even though that’s not what I’m called). My company says they don’t need a GC. Talked to my boss today and they want to hire another to take things off my plate since I am the only attorney. They plan to rewrite my job position to do more risk and compliance. Am I wrong for feeling like I should have been included in the convo?

Can anyone who’s a financial reporting manager or accounting manager in industry briefly explain what your actual day to day looks like? I’ve always written those off because I don’t want to spend all day every day doing close and posting journal entries but I realize there’s probably more to these roles than that and that maybe I should open my mind a bit when it comes to my job search. Worried about being bored but also looking for better quality of life. Thanks in advance!
