I am going through a background verification with HireRight for Microsoft. I put as job titles the ones I also put on my resume, which are matching my real duties and activities. However, apart from my last employer, my past internal employers have really weird internal titles that say nothing about my qualifications and skills. Will this cause any issue and push Microsoft to rescind my offer?

Total Experience is 5.5 years. Hadoop/Spark: 5.5 years.

Cloud experience is 2.4 years, (1.1 in Azure and 1.3 in GCP).

Other skills: Python, Shell scripting, SQL.

I’m looking at a company that’s beginning to build its HR function in the U.S. (they already have overseas teams). What are some questions I should be asking the CHRO or things I should be considering when I evaluate the HR roadmap? How do you evaluate an HR strategy at this stage? I’ve worked at startups, but this would be my first time helping build the HR function.

Which companies have best WLB, least stressed DS/DA roles? A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise. Not all the time or even most of the time compared to better candidates with specific experience for the role but gives you this wildcard shot at a vast array of opportunities.
