Don’t listen to too much about “what you should chase.” Yes, Calatrava has gotten a lot more popularity in the recent years due to after market trades. However as a dress watch, nothing can beat a PP Calatrava or a Cartier Tank Louis. Movements and craftsmanship do matter over random internet frenzy of what you should get. That said, if you like the watch, go for it.

I am personally looking to get a PP Golden Ellipse (after market) after many years of sourcing and buying “luxury” watches for myself. I absolutely can’t wait to get my hands on the Ellipse.

Ok so I was carless -- I was assembling my new bed frame and one as I was grabbing one of the long parts; I set it vertically and my fan was on and hit the edge. I literally just moved in 5 days ago and I already scratched these pristine fans, I'm irate and I want to fix it.

30th birthday present watch accessory ideas.

A lot of knowledge on here so asking for some help. It’s my partner’s birthday and I’ve no idea what to buy him. He’s a watch fanatic - Pateks (sports and dress), Audemars (sports and dress), Rolex (sports), Omega (sports).

I’m obviously not buying him a watch for his birthday (in his dreams!) but any idea for some good accessories? He’s already got a PP watch winder, and has bought multiple nice straps for the dress watches. I’m completely lost.

Thoughts on a Omega De Ville Prestige as a first luxury watch? Would be ~$7.5K USD at retail. Some friends have said great things about Omega as a starter, whereas others say it’s not worth it over a Rolex Oyster Perpetual (which would be similar in cost).

I personally love how clean the design is, the use of gold, and the thinner band as it links the watch … find the Rolex band design to be too chunky.
