I had a tinder match who just moved back to Peru. She says it sucks relative to US with shitty vaccination rollout and lots of restrictions in place.
Perfect, thanks for the tips, appreciate it! Enjoy 👻ing

Have you booked tours and stuff already? How long are you there for?
In 2014…
I went with G Adventures tour and most of the itinerary was good (took the train, didn’t hike Inca trail). I’m not sure how they’re limiting trips into Machu Picchu now but we went twice, once on our own in the late afternoon which was great since all the morning tourists had left and we were able to hike up to the sun gate, then another time in the morning with our group. Get permits early for Huayna Picchu if you want to hike it. I didn’t make it out to Rainbow Mountain but have heard it’s worth the trip. Lima’s good for food but otherwise a little sketchy outside the Miraflores district. I liked Cusco more than Lima. If you have extra time, you could make a trip to Huacachina.
In 2019. Libertadores cup final. Few days. Stayed in Miraflores. Don Maminos for breakfast, Restaurante Tanta for great food (Ceviche and pisco sours)
