Well, best thing to do is set up a call with your manager, and managers manager (separate) and tell them you’re leaving and that day is the first day of your two week notice.
Mention that you’ve learned a lot, and would look forward to an opportunity to work together in the future.
Unless you were the worst employee they’ve ever had, they’ll return the sentiment and bam. Conversation over.

This advice is if you already have another job lined up, because this is not a good time to quit in this field. However, assuming you have something lined up. The best thing you can do is type out a formal resignation letter and offer a two weeks notice. This for most companies, will allow you to stay on good terms and make you eligible for rehire down the road should you want it.
This exact reason has kept me stuck in the same position for 3 years now, been wanting to leave but agree that it’s not the right time to go with everything going on in the world & our industry. When do you think will be a good time to quit exactly, say I do have a job lined up. Is it safe to do so? What if things don’t work out in the new job? These are things I think about
