Off topic: I am stuck in a service based company for last 4 years in a shitty project. The work I do can be done by a 12th grader. Now i want to move out by learning something new & changing my domain. But the thing is I am not able to study because I am stuck in a comfort zone and learning new thing gives me bad anxiety. It feels like I will never learn & be forever stuck here. Pls help on how to come out of comfort zone, learn things and apply for the job. Tata Consultancy Infosys Wipro

Onboarding remotely was rough. Take Deloitte’s recommendation to network (virtually) with your starting cohort and with managers/leaders seriously
Lateral transfer from mid-tier firm as a S2 virtually was brutal. Building connections aren’t the same and a year and a half still don’t have solid relationships. Feels lonely- no one to chat with just because, no one to vent to… I have this in my personal life but you need someone at work for work related stuff. It’s really hard. I came from a comfortable job where I had friends on the job and a support network and EY poached me, I was not looking to leave. After I accepted the offer and gave notice, we went remote. They did not onboard me well and I’m still struggling 1.5 years later.
Went from A2 in mid-tier to A2 at EY. Besides the usual adjustment in teams and technology, has been smooth enough so far. Audit is audit 😂
It’s been rough. I came in as an experienced hire in January and you get thrown to the wolves.
I can talk about my experience not being a new. turnover was so high that most of the seniors in my promo left and it’s been tough to deal with it. I had no one to talk to anymore, my mentors left too, and my senior managers complained daily about how exhausted they were, that’s where I decided to leave and I don’t regret it.
