Love the intellectual challenge of this work. Financial modeling, market analysis, it pushes me to my limits and beyond. Anyone else a fellow numbers nerd?

Love the work, hate the backstabbing colleagues.

I’m not used to it. I prefer to work with intelligent people who don’t backstab. Backstabbing is for people who don’t know $hit and can’t compete with those who know things.

Hi all 👋 does anyone have any recommendations for career switchers trying to land entry-level digital marketing or social media coordinator roles?

The biggest challenge I’m finding right now is that I don’t have many of the hard skills required (photoshop, illustrator, Google analytics) 📊📈.

I would really prefer a smaller marketing agency where I can wear many hats and learn the ropes from scratch. Thanks in advance 😁

Current student looking for advice. I interned at RBC Wealth Management last summer and currently have 2 offers for summer 2023 that require a decision next week: 1 for BASF (chemical manufacturing) and 1 for Peraton (defense technology); I am also waiting to hear back from SMBC (S&T), Point72, Lord Abbett, Boeing, and Shell. I hope to break into banking next summer, and I’m interested in the Natural Resources, Industrials, and Real Estate industry groups. Any advice on what to do? Thanks!

Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.
