Say I work in tech and have a decent finance experience. Would my 3 yoe of domain "expertise" in tech make me an attractive bet for the banks Tech coverage team? In other words, does having experience in Tech make me more hireable for IBD?

I’m 28 years old and have decided to sit for the CPA exams after failing in the past. I see so many jobs with requirements for it. I work in industry about 40 hours a week. I do have occasional pockets of time during working hours. What study schedule and order of exams do you recommend based if tests will change in the near future? What is a reasonable timeline?

Let's say I'm a former analytics specialist who left the field several yrs ago for a top 10 MBA and strategy consulting at big 4. How would I parlay this into finding *non-tech* AI/ML/DS roles like strategy or product?

I don't want to use R/SAS/etc daily again, but many places either want me to be a DS/engineer which doesn't suit my interest, or require more recent technical management experience, which I don't have.

What sorts of SQL questions are typically asked in interview questions for senior data analysis jobs? Like is knowing SQL from freecodecamp enough or should I look into taking a course online?

Been in PR & w/ the same company now for 8 years, and every day I fantasize about submitting my resignation. Definitely think the pandemic has made it more clear how burnt out I am and how much I despise my job & the people I work with. However, not sure what my next move should be & also feel I don’t have the head space to really think about it while staying at my current job. I’ve been in life underwriting for over 20 years and honestly have never enjoyed it. The strictly production related work is hard for me to stay focused and be interested in the job. Any ideas on what else I can do and still make decent money? I’ve always found it pretty stressful and would prefer a less stressful position.

I have received two offers for Summer Internships. West Monroe Partners Software Engineer and Deloitte Software Engineer. I'm not sure which one will be better for my career. Will Deloitte allow better future opportunities because of its brand name? Or, will the fact that WMP is a technology-focused consulting firm look better for getting future SWE jobs?

I need your help guys. I'm a Real Estate Financier in London for new development projects and have just been offered a new role with another company. The base increase is £20k however the bonus structure is c.£60k higher if I achieve targets less than at my current company.

I'd have to work in the office 5 days a week though and at present I don't need to at all.

Flip side is I have been offered a directorship at my current bank and I am 30. New wage TBC.

I have 2 toddlers and a puppy.

Is there anything else I should keep in mind when preparing to lateral besides staying active on deals/getting a good performance review and networking/prepping for interviews? It’s not that I want to leave my firm right away, it’s just that I know I don’t want to stay in the area for more than a couple of years and know that lateraling is an inevitability for me.

Nyc based. Is it at all possible to make at least 200 base in corp dev or strategy at a tech company? Super burned out but don’t want to take a paycut in base. I realize I’ll never make all in comp the same in tech but if I can match base I’d be content.
