Many people believe in Jesus of Nazareth and believe He is the Messiah but do not serve Him as Lord. But believing & confessing Jesus is Lord is different. It is a positional decision which defines our relationship to Him. When we make Jesus Lord of our lives, it’s transformational. It’s deciding whose authority rules over our lives. We belong to Him. With his shed blood, he purchased us out of the kingdom of darkness into His kingdom. It is the most important decision we will ever make.

Does anyone have tips regarding attending social events, such as happy hours with coworkers and express that drinking isn’t my preference?
With me being the only one on my team who doesn’t drink, it causes me to stick out, and others constantly question why I’m not drinking.
It kind of deters me from attending work events, but I know there’s a lot of benefitting in being around.
