Losing time with my dog
I fell this as well! 😔
Cute pup!! I will miss getting to spend all day with mine!
Thank you! We love her so much. You'd never know by looking at her that her dad is a Rottweiler. She takes more after her Lab/Retriever mom, except for those Rottweiler muscles and strength.
I do have a 30 days before school starts back with the students but my actual day is for teachers August 15th and what I'm going to miss the most is having my own routine, quietness, meditation, and time with my grandchildren.
Back to daily routines will be good because I've gotten lazy with not much to do. Getting back into work clothes and shoes is always difficult, as I love to wear summer shorts every day.

That has been my thing this summer. Wearing shorts and tank tops, plus going around with bare feet, has me spoiled. I don't think I can do that at school
Awh what a cute pup!! I'm having a hard time accepting that the school year is that close. I don't want to believe it. I'm gonna miss spending time with my toddler and all of the fun summer things we've been able to do! We've spent the summer at the pool, hiking, camping, etc. I'm at least grateful I get the summers off to spend with him
The one amazing perk of being a teacher-Summer time! I hope the rest of your summer is incredible!
Beginning of school year PD’s are the worst, reteaching concepts you already know, “new” agendas, and waking up early that first week back.
Meeting and memorizing your students names through icebreaker activities the best, filling out the desk calendar nice and neat, that you won’t ever look at again after October.

Yes, yes, and yes! I think you just painted every teacher's first few days of school. I do, however, like a nicely filled out desk calendar. My problem is that I get everything all nice a tidy, only to spill a few drops of coffee on it, and then I have to start turning those coffee drops into flowers or drawings. That starts a whole new scenario for this teacher with OCD! 😬
OP I think the thing that I dread the most is having to go back to getting up early. I get so used to staying up late during the summer and sleeping in that those first few weeks are rough. However you are right, getting back into my routine always feels really good.

I have enjoyed my lazy summer mornings. I am kind of in a quandary of "do I enjoy the last few days of lazy mornings" and pay for it that first few weeks of adapting back to early mornings? Or do I break the routine now?
