I am an email marketing specialist. I am approaching my one year at my new job. I have been going above & beyond. I have been recognized by my boss that I have been doing great as well. I have been implementing new strategies, completing all assignments on time, and I do the most in all of our meetings, interviews and business events. How much can I ask for a raise?

It very much depends - do you feel underpaid for what you do? Asking for a raise just for doing a great job will likely not fly. If you’ve only been there for a year and are blowing it out of the water, your manager might be the one to suggest a promotion/raise. Can you quantify how much you saved/made the company? Can you show your worth beyond “doing a great job”?

Meeting deadlines is expected. Going “above & beyond” is subjective. You’re going to need to demonstrate ROI and taking on tasks not outlined in your job description to likely get anything above a cost of living raise.

You deserve a raise! You have been doing an excellent job and have been recognized by your boss. You should ask for a raise that is appropriate for your experience and skills. Has your boss given you any indicatives that you may be up for a promotion/raise?

You have not been at your job for very long and have not proven yourself yet. You should wait until you have been at your job for a longer period of time and have shown more dedication and commitment before asking for a raise. As someone else said, it's about ROI's and actually going above & beyond, meaning staying in late if need be, and taking tasks outside of your role.

All I want to say is congratulations for your first year on the job :) It's probably not something that a lot of people see, but if you feel like you do more than enough and are succeeding at it, then you're well on your way for a promotion. Just keep it up!

It's a bit subjective whether or not you "deserve" a raise so it's hard to say. BUT if you feel like you've learned a lot and are ready to take on a more demanding and higher paying role it's always worth looking into applying for another job somewhere else. Company loyalty is overrated imo

You can try to ask for a performance review and discuss it with your boss. Not so easy to give you an exact number that would be appropriate to ask for without directly working with you

Responsibilities include direct oversight of onboarding, support, implementation/integrations, customer success, production - fulfillment, production-web dev, and content departments. 8 years experience at various management levels, 2 years as DOP.

Hello!
I was wondering what kind of contractual or other barriers I might face if I apply for one of the big 4 while working on a project with them in my current company.
I am not too involved in the project but I was in a few meetings and went on a field trip with them as well.
The position that I am applying for is in a different team and city.
Will this considered “poaching” if the consulting firm hires me? Would they need to talk to my current employer?

Currently going through some negations on an internal role. I’m currently at 88k and they offered me 100k for a position that requires a lot more work. Do you guys think it’s easier to land a higher salary when applying externally rather than internally? Also this is for a territory sales management role. They stated 120k+ is extremely high for that role. What do you guys think? Playing the game?
