I interviewed with capgemini for SAP ABAP role and my YOE is 4 years. Just 2 hours after my interview, I got a call from someone at Capgemini saying that I am selected.
They just asked my notice period and current location.I asked them, what is the next round going to be and they said that it is going to be salary discussion. But till now, no one has reached out to me.
Does it mean they got another candidate for same job?
If they get back to me, how much should I ask?

YoE 12.5, cctc 10.5 and holding offers till 23.5 fixed and few more in pipeline, expecting till 27 with 40 days left in np. 👉Just ask for it. Really, you would be surprised. Might be easier to switch to a new company and ask. I did that 3 years into my career.

And 🛑 wasting your time at a company that under-values you severely. Sometimes switching companies every 2 years or so will allow you to keep raising the bar for yourself.

At what point do you draw the line on WLB? Working insane hours on a long/term project with what feels like no end in sight. It’s not sustainable but clearly expected. Could you get fired for drawing lines in the sand and saying (example) “come 8:30 every night I’m logging off”.
