Moss Adams if you go part time is your salary pro-rated based on 40hrs? BT is 45hrs which I think is BS. Before my firm merged with BT it was pro-rated based on 40hrs so feeling screwed over if I decide to go part-time now

At BT, standard total hours for the year are 2350, so if you take a reduced schedule, its prorated based on 2350. I don't see how that's not fair (and I've been on a reduced schedule for over 10 years.)

Makes sense. I think where I’ve seen it be the least successful is where people push to make it a per week or per day cap.

Standard work week in canada is 37.5 hours

like

Are you saying that if, for example, you go to 80%, you would be required to work 36 hours in a week? Is BTs standard full-time week 45 hours?

That is correct. And you would receive 80% of your salary working 36 hours. If you worked 27 hours you’d receive 60% of your salary. Etc.

when you enter your time daily are you required to enter at least 9 or 8 hours a day? Regardless if it’s chargeable time or not.

For compliance/client facing we do 8 hour days not 9

MA is same same

MA uses 40 for my FWA calculation.

BT is 45 hours? When I was there it was 40. When did it change?

BT is 45 hours minimum? What are charge hour requirements for year

It just recently was reduced. Lucky you guys!

That is labor law there in usa?

Moss calculates it using 40 hour work weeks.

What is your current total hour budget for the year?

It’s prorated based on your required working hours for the full year.

Does anyone have some insight on Lipman Hearne or Ledger Bennett? Both have poor reviews on Glassdoor, but I see they have copywriter roles open. Is the culture toxic?

When beginning a piece of literature, I first help the kids access the relevant culture. I have used web quests, but I have found that the kids researching their choice of topics and creating Slides containing information and pics results in more students participating. Recently they researched heraldry for the Medieval Era and reproduced either a family crest that they found or created their own personal crest. Anyone have other activities they use?

Question for my friend at KPMG. Her MDs and Partners have been directing her to eat her hours. If she charges over 45 hours she will get emails from management and when she charges over 65 she got a call from a PPMD. I work at deloitte and have never been told to do this and thought it honestly was illegal. Thoughts? It doesn’t seem right that she’s having to eat those hours and feel scared when she’s working til 10/12 every night.
