How does everyone feel about the online SHRM learning for SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP for Certification?
Do you skip around? Do you follow the path? Where does one start?

When I was going through the certification I outlined and made flip cards of the whole book and just memorized as much as I could.

I am testing soon but didn’t do the online learning.

I used the SHRM learning system for SCP and skipped around. For the areas I needed more attention I would follow the path but for areas I was strong in I just did the section quizzes. This worked pretty well for me and I passed first go round

I guess it would be similar to the discussion of the SHRM-SCP vs SPHR.

A bit freaked out by my “generalist” approach to litigation so far. Almost two years in and couldn’t really say I’m that “good” in any one area.

Don’t really have my own clients, and I feel like in order for me to gain the confidence necessary to obtain them, I need to specialize in SOMETHING.

Million dollar question - any areas of litigation seen as being a good specialty to get into now/for the future?
