Tools can only do so much. Give yourself the chance to fail until you can adapt. Taking on more requires you to be more focus but also pragmatic one where/how you send your time. With promotion, your view shifts to the more high level detail as well as the day to day. You also have to wear different hats that can influence and change how you would normally make decisions.

Delegate, delegate and delegate as much as possible. You will have so much more admin work moving up in your role. If you’re still “doing your day job” from your last role and adding a ton of admin, you’ll get so buried. By delegating, you can do the specific tasks that no one else can like nbd or technically specific tasks requiring lot of research as a few examples.
